Just read Apple may be adding an HDMI port to Macs. As I write this, I’m using an HDMI-based 22″ monitor that connects to my mac via DV. Why the need for HDMI? I don’t see it.
A real need is for Apple to put back the firewire ports on their Pro model laptops. As a videographer, who very often needs to capture video in real time during a shoot, to a big external firewire disk, I’m frustrated that I cannot upgrade to a new MacBook Pro.
Removal of Firewire is a major mistake on Apples’ part.
Here’ an article about the rumor about Mac getting HDMI.
Given the abysmal failure of Macworld 2010, I think Apple should focus their efforts on building up, and improving, customer service. Customers routinely get whacked by a rude 800-number support person, or by self-righeous Apple store geniuses. Lol.
Well perhaps they’ll get better in the customer service department when they get rid of AT&T in favor of Verizon. AT&Ts’ lame commercials bad mouthing Verizon is laughable. The real story is that AT&T 3G sucks. It’s barely available anywhere I travel.
So Apple! Get your act together. On all fronts.
